3 steps to
1. submit an application on the KfW grant portal
Start the KfW grants portal and click on "Registration for new customers". Now you can register with your personal data. As soon as you have filled in all the information, you will receive an e-mail with a confirmation link. Click on the link to complete the registration.
2. order charging station and have it installed
Once your grant application has been confirmed, you can order your charging station and commission the installation work.
Is 100% renewable electricity available?
Before ordering your charging station, make sure that the electricity required for the charging process comes 100% from renewable energies, e.g. from your own photovoltaic system, or that a corresponding electricity contract has been concluded.
An identity check is required for payment. Click on "Apply for payment" in the KfW grant portal. Click on "Identify now" to start the SCHUFA identity check. Alternatively, you can use video identification or the Postident procedure of Deutsche Post
3. upload evidence
Confirmation of the project
Now you can click on "Apply for payment" under the menu item "My grant applications", enter the manufacturer and model of the charging station and the number of charging points installed.
Go to the next step "Invoices" and then click on
„Upload first invoice“.
Summary and confirmation
Now you have the opportunity to check all the information and the uploaded invoices. If all the information is correct, you can "bindingly send" the entries
Once the evidence has been successfully checked, you will be informed by e-mail and via the KfW grants portal under the menu item "My grant applications / Details" and will receive a payment confirmation including the date for payment (usually at the end of the next month).
